'Tahitian Dream' ...This is a painting remembers my trip to French Polynesia in 20001 when I visited four islands there.
I went to Paul Gauguin's house on Tahiti before going to Bora Bora , Rangiroa and Manihi.
I loved how the wonderfully warm turquoise of the lagoons adjoined the sandy coral atoll reef which protected the lagoon from the infinite blue of the pacific ocean and the endless vast sky. I like the idea of the ever-changing stormy passionate skies in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
It was like being in a dream.
I felt very at peace looking out over these remote atolls at the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean I visited as though i was on ' The Edge Of The World ', which it really felt like ...
I consider this artwork to be a meditation painting intended to capture a Tahitian Dream.... Enjoy the colours .....!!
